Beef
Dexter beef is truly amazing!
Our Dexters are reared almost entirely on natural downland grazing (we do supplement their diet with nuts over the worst of the winter months). We believe that cattle should be kept in family groups and allowed to stay out on the hills all year round. Steers are slaughtered locally once they reach thirty months of age. The meat is hung for two to three weeks to improve the flavour and tenderness of the beef.
Beef Prices
Approximately 7kg mixed packs containing 1-2 joints (topside/rib/silverside/rump), selection of steaks, stewing steak and mince, priced at £8.50/kg. (Please note that packs vary in size and content)
Quarter of an animal (approx 30kg) priced at £8.00/kg (this is a quarter of everything; fore quarters and hind quarters are mixed up so that everyone gets a fair share!)
All of the offal (liver, kidney, oxtail, tongue etc) is given to our customers free of charge.
We can deliver locally (Ashford/Folkestone/Canterbury/Dover) or you can make arrangements to come and collect it yourselves.
